The Festival Association

A network of people who make the festival possible year after year.

About our work

After the warm reception of the first steps of that Chamber Music gathering held in Godella in 2010, we decided—encouraged by its founder, Joan Enric Lluna—to create a Cultural Association to support and continue these activities around Chamber Music in Godella.
This is how the Friends of Chamber Music of Godella Association was born, made up of music lovers, musicians, and members with experience in music education and management.

The main mission of the Association is to sustain the annual Chamber Music Residencies Festival: a participatory event that also offers a high-quality artistic program, with special attention to its pedagogical character aimed at young musical talents, giving them the opportunity to learn and connect with outstanding established musicians.

The Association also oversees the festival’s programming, organizes additional activities throughout the year, manages funding with the support of public institutions, and works to grow its network of members and collaborators.

ABOUT CHAMBER MUSIC

Although sometimes less widely known than other genres—despite offering an enormous repertoire—chamber music lies at the very foundation of all instrumental and vocal music. Without it, without that shared experience of sound, much of the music we know today would not have evolved.

Among classical performers, it is considered the most esteemed genre, as each instrument or voice gains its own identity and becomes a deeply personal and direct form of expression and communication. Musicians often feel more like true artists when performing chamber music, and thus the experience for the audience is inherently more enriching.

Analysis, study, playfulness, complicity, and enjoyment are the defining traits of this discipline—one that no musical genre or culture can overlook. Moreover, the intimacy of both performing and listening to chamber music invites a deeper appreciation and understanding of the very nature of music.

Promoting, supporting, and facilitating access for young musicians, and spreading awareness of this art form, are what give meaning to our mission and dedication.

We also believe that this task must always be pursued through artistic excellence. That is why, over the years, we have committed to offering the highest quality programming—both to attract music lovers and to support young performers seeking to enter professional life with brilliance.

"Music connects us to the deepest part of the soul."

In uncertain times, the Festival seeks to be a space for connection, beauty, and reflection.
