Thanks to the collaboration between MUSACC, l’Espai Cultura La Buhardilla de Rocafort and Amics de la Música de Cambra de Godella, this lecture will take place on Saturday 7 February. During the event, we will have the opportunity to listen to the Valencian musicologist David Catalunya, who will explain how the recovery and restoration of this millenary organ was carried out.
Its history is truly remarkable: buried for eight centuries by the Croats when they fled Bethlehem, it was discovered in 1906 and later restored by a research team led by David Catalunya, who succeeded in bringing it back to life and making it sound once again. He will tell us how this was achieved.
Important: admission is free, but places must be reserved via WhatsApp on +34 640 168 112.
We look forward to seeing you!

CONCERT AT VILLA EUGÈNIA
On Saturday, November 22, the first concert of a new chamber music series took place, the result of a collaboration between Amics de la Música de Cambra de Godella, the MUSACC platform, and the Espai Cultural La Buhardilla in Rocafort.
The guest ensemble was the Trio Falla: two flautists, Pau Coso Caballero and Hernán Rodríguez San Miguel, and a double bassist, Jimena Rodríguez San Miguel. A young trio, created in Cologne in 2023, yet talented and bold: winners of the Special Jury Prize at the 9th Chamber Music Competition of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, and performers in festivals such as the Kammermusiktage am Rittergut Ort. Their aim is not only to perform works by well-known composers but also to recover the repertoire of forgotten Spanish composers and promote contemporary Spanish composers.
The programme they had prepared demonstrates this perfectly, with a first part dedicated to works from the classical repertoire:
A. Vivaldi: Follia in D minor RV63
J. J. Quantz: Trisonata in C minor QV2 Anh. 5
A. Rodríguez de Hita: parts I, IV and VII from Canciones instrumentales
J. Haydn: from the London Trios Hob: IV
I Allegro moderato, II Andante, III Finale Vivace from No. 1 in C major
I Andante, II Allegro from No. 2 in G
It is worth mentioning that the musicians themselves arranged the selected works to adapt them to their instruments.
In the second part, they premiered two works composed especially for them: Cycles, by the very young Spanish composer Adela Rodríguez Yus, and Genesis of the Birds, by Daniel Basomba García, thus illustrating their commitment to contemporary music.
